Busy Busy

Well, this is turning into the week of chaos..... Mother in law arrived, house full of people for the weekend as wife's cousin is getting married so we are the closest hotel ! Result is of course, no time to create! terrible times..... So you will have to wait until next week fir any other comments...

Card making takes all day sometimes!

Well, after finishing the place cards (At last you say!) I thought I would make a card.....It took the rest of the day to do, but I am happy with the result..

Time flies

Well, weekend came and went in a flash of light! Friends over for a braai, working in the garden, church and wham bang a new week has begun! so here is a picture to cheer you up.

Well, I have finished the tiling, hopefully it won't wash away in the first rains! Now we have somewhere to put stuff when we have a braai (BBQ) It may be wonky, weird but it's mine and i'm kinda impressed.

                

Now I had better get those place cards done!!!!!

Good morning

Well, today I need to finish grouting the tiles outside, they have survived the night so I am quite impressed... I've never been too strong on the DIY front so when I get something that looks quite ok I swell with pride!
Then it is on to finishing the place cards, so it will be out with the cuttlebug and dies and embossing folders so that will be finished by the end of the day. But before all that activity I will sit in the garden with the fountain tinkling and enjoy my coffee......
So here's another card for you to enjoy, I'll post a picture every day, it's always nicer to see something rather than just words.

Garden day

Well, today, I actually got into the garden, gave the lawn a haircut, trimmed some shrubs and even got the tabletop tiled in the sunshine. Then the sky began to turn an ominous shade of grey... yep along came a showe. So I had to rush to get some plastic to cover the table as it is not properly dry yet. The joys. Well I did manage to get into it for a while so I'm glad for that.

 I have also been playing around with my copic markers and my favourite Tim Holtz distress inks and have made a few cards too.(I'm supposed to be doing place cards for a wedding but this was so much more fun!)

Decision to IMPROVE

Well, this is it, today I have decided to write in this blog every day, well, almost! Now I'm a tecnophobe really so this may never be too exciting but hey. Welcome to my world.

I've been working on my craft stamper competition entry for a while now, since about april actually! wow time flies. To be honest I have done it for my own pleasure but decided to enter it when I saw the entry form. I have decided not to put any pictures on show yet until after the closing date (22 October) I've called it my Encouragement Emporium; my own little "shop" where I can go when I need to remind myself of my blessings, refresh my memories of all the wonderful techniques I have been able to learn etc etc.

Now I have to do the second part of the entry which is a card. I have started and it won't take too long to do, I hope!
